So Long, farewell.

April 16, 2018

Farewell to all our Sand Island friends.

After five and a half years, our time at Sand Island Beach comes to an end.

We have enjoyed your company and getting to know you - not only as guests but as friends. We leave with fond memories of all the amazing times we had together: witnessing turtles building their nests and then sharing the exciting experience of watching determined little hatchlings break through their shells and find their way down the beach and into the sea.  And what about whale watching from the beach - such an incredible sight - seeing them breach and frolic just the other side of the reef. Awesome!

We reintroduced Sand Island as an old friend to those of you who had let it slip your mind; it was lovely to see you back after years away and we were delighted that you all had such a good time here.

We hosted guests birthday parties, anniversaries, honeymoons, four wedding and - yes, unfortunately, a funeral as well.

Now it's our turn, our time, to move on and start a new chapter in our lives. To all our guests, we want to say a big thank you for making the time we spent with you at Sand Island so much fun, you feel like family to Cheryl and I.

David Sutton takes over from us and we hope he enjoys your company as much as we have.

Cheers.

Arty
